(1/2)Nikolai Lugansky - Recital at Mariinsky Concert Hall(Beethoven, Franck, Debussy, Rachmaninov)

How would I describe Lugansky as a pianist ? I would have to say graceful, and very measured in his approach ( very controlled ). He plays beautifully and he can make the piano sing. All that's missing is a demonic flair. Trifonov has that in abundance, and Cziffra had it in his day. All in all a very nice recital though ! I could watch and listen to him play for hours, so that's my seal of approval.
