35:00, my favorite, note the similarity to Lilacs, Op.21 No.5, along with the use of textures that seem characteristic of later Rachmaninoff works, creating layers of sound, not unlike textures found in the Op. 39 Études-Tableaux.

It is really pity that he never plays number 2 op.23 publicly, I'm 100% sure that he would make it without any problems

Seeing that he has recorded all 24 preludes and is one of our best Rachmaninov pianists, period, I'm sure that's the case! :)

@@mmitchamharding I know its seems out of place in that set of Preludes. However I still love it, those closing chords are superb, especially Alexis Weissenberg's recording.
