Ned always manage to mess up his relationships for Alexis and it’s because he’ll never resist the opportunity to be with her. Im not doubting he loves Olivia, he absolutely does but his relationship with Alexis never received closure, until then they are always gonna have something between them that makes them turn to each other.For her it’s because whenever her type breaks her heart there is that regret there for leaving Ned and for him, he’s never really gotten the closure nor make peace with why they didn’t work out, he kind of just always had someone else in the wings to fill the void, fist it was her sister, then it was Faith rosco, then it was Skye, now Olivia happens to fall in love with him while he’s trying to keep Alexis away from Julian. It’s a pattern they’re one of the couples writers will always toy with because of the history because we all know this is gonna open the doors for Olivia to turn to Robert.
