How did you figure out that you scored 1.2 million? Did somebody manually calculate the tetris points after 999,999?
@GabrielsEpicLifeofGoals6 жыл бұрын
No, if it's: A=1.0mil. B=1.1mil. C=1.2mil. ... For example, A23321 actually means 1,023,321.
@IvyANguyen5 жыл бұрын
You can calculate it based on type of lines (single/double/triple/tetris) scored & level. tetris.wikia.com/wiki/Scoring - The formula for Tetrises is 1200 * (n + 1) with n being the level number.
@benjaminbravo98845 жыл бұрын

@EricICX4 жыл бұрын
here is my guess as to what happened twitch mutes parts of vods that contain copyrighted audio, even if you download the vod yourself if you don't highlight it while your stream is still going, that highlight will be muted too so what probably happened was a copyrighted song was playing at that point, twitch muted it, then jonas highlighted it, downloaded the highlight, then uploaded it to youtube.

BaBooTube Videos the game genie code used unbounds the max score, so you can see exactly what score you get. After 999999, it will go to A00000, and that marks 1000000 points, and so on.

How are you maxers controlling the pieces after level 18 (& at level 18 with a high stack)? I can't seem to tap fast enough, & holding the button doesn't move the block fast enough.
@ebelsa5 жыл бұрын
Short answer: by understanding how delayed auto shift (DAS) works. It's possible to move the pieces faster from side to side without hypertapping if you time things right. There are some KZbin videos that do a pretty good job explaining it. Experienced players also do a great job recognizing when they don't have the ability to get a piece all the way to one side or the other on 19, which explains why you sometimes see Jonas putting pieces in the middle that he would normally put to the left on 18.

Recently started playing the new version of Tetris on my new mini console. The emulator is Retroarch. Is this version the PAL version or the same as the tournament version? I could swear my level 19 is faster than the CTWC level 19
@byz886 жыл бұрын
It's the NTSC version he's using. On the PAL version the kill screen comes at 19 rather than on 29 like this version. It's because of the difference between PAL's 50Hz framerate and NTSC's 60Hz framerate. Apparently the DAS is better on the PAL versions so you can manage better beyond the kill screen but I've not even got close to that so I couldn't say. Only a few people have got more than 700k on the PAL version, whereas max outs on the NTSC version is becoming more common for the top players. I'd try to get this version but as long as you're having fun playing Tetris it doesn't really matter.

Also Jonas realistically could have even gotten to 1.3 million year with just a few less burns, im not crtisising anything just a likely fact is all I get why he did it, its still this game right here one of the single best Tetris games in history and he remains one of what not even fricking 12 People on Planet Earth to ever score 1.2 or more million in NES Tetris,fricking Legend man.

Wow Jonas is just such a freak,make no mistake he is capable of beating the amazing prodigy Joseph I know he is, also its crazy to think that in hindsight its entirely possible that had he simply chosen to burn off a few less lines in this very game and instead gone for just a few more tetrises he may very well have beaten or retained the world record back then,what is it right now as of April 2019 Koryan like 1.27 or something yeah? Jonas literally could have gotten that here with just a few different choices,crazy man.

Lets see Tetris skill charts would be speed/intelligence/skill/improvisational ability/ability under pressure, Jonas is like a 8.3 in speed out of 10,a 9 in skill/intelligence/a perfect 10 at improvisational ability no other Player alive makes builds quite like Jonas can or can anticipate moves several moves ahead and determine how to fix upwards of 5 not ideal forced drops,and ability/mental strength under pressure about a solid 9,Harry would be a 9 for speed,8.5 for skill/intelligence/7.5 at improv/and 7.5 under pressure, Joseph would be like a 9.7 in speed,a 8 in skill/intelligence/8.5 at improvisational ability,but for now at present only a 7.5 under pressure,Koryan would be a 9.4 in speed/8.6 in skill/intelligence/8.5 at improv/and a solid 8.8 under pressure.

Isnt that the fewest lines for a max out as well?
@psychotheunsane72857 жыл бұрын
He tied the record (207 lines). I think the one "holy grail" left to achieve on Tetris is to prepare a Tetris on level 28, and scoring it on level 29. It's the ONLY way a Tetris could ever be scored (feasibly) on level 29. To do this, one must prepare a center well 8 or more rows deep, and hope for two consecutive straight pieces (the first to transition to level 29, the second to score the "killscreen Tetris").
@JonasTeh817 жыл бұрын
Andy Wyant I'll have to scrub my videos but I've used a Tetris after the transition to max before
