The SE 5A is one of the best designs of WW I. Should have been used for the US Mail after the war.

Its funny you got this one Grant - I recently bought the I Love Kit/Merit/Trumpeter/Whateverthehell Fokker DR 1 Triplane as well! I'll do mine completely out of the box, although I will print a seated pilot and replace the guns as well. Simple is as simple does! Cheers, Chris

There you go, I didn't even know the did the Fokker! Have you got a pilot file to print? Or you will find one when time comes?

Twenty five years ago I took the 1/27 Academy knockoff of the 1950’s Revell triplane , used about a half dozen of the parts, and scratch built everything else including the interior. I painted it in the well known black and white striped “optical illusion” plane and it is a visually stunning model.

i thought the S.E.5a came into service in April 1917 yet the RAF was formed in 1918 wrong box art maybe ?
