Cut open they have an internal diameter of 65 mm. This is only because we don't have the right diameter cans and the measurements are quite a bit different. Thank you in advance if you choose to go along with my idea.

Yes it is a really cool blowtorch but it is not a jet engine. It is blowtorch that has fan blades that spin and give a little wind. It is not a jet engine as it do not produce more trust then a blowtorch... So many people in the comments that think this is a real jet engine producing trust. But it is an amazing demonstration of the principles of a jet engine :) But to make it an actual working jet engine you need precisely cut rotor blades and stators with exact correct angles for the different stages and a lot of complicated math to bring it all working in unison. And all has to be made very precise or you end up with a blowtorch...

The engine have sizes about: diametr - 4"; length - 11"; length of nozzle - 3". A turbine wheel was made on CNC. Compressor part was made on 3D printer. I made it uses a cyrcular compressor and nice combustion chamber, but it didnt work. And your angine gives a self sustaining mode.
@thesquisheee6 күн бұрын
how many compressor wheels and any stators in betweem? does your turbine wheel make the compressor turn too, are the turbine blades pitched the correct way? the engine seen in this video will produce virtually no thrust, extremely inefficient. its basically just burning a fuel air mix at a high rate. a bunsen burner with a fan in it.
@Kostya_bro6 күн бұрын
@thesquisheee My engine have not axial and circular compressor(like a turbo winding in car) it doesn't need any stages more than one. It produse unreal big pressure without more stages. Turbine blades places in correct way.

Can you make a high bypass one because it is more efficient than low bypass one
@Animesh-s4t10 күн бұрын
Alright can you make a high bypass with a more powerful compressor and fan with a nozzle or exhaust and you can use hydrogen not oxyhydrogen because oxyhydrogen is so explosive that if you used in this engine your engine likely gonna explode so use normal hydrogen by the way this engine looks awesome! And you can also use thermal paste for extra heat that can damage the engine because it desipates heat
@thesquisheee6 күн бұрын
@@Animesh-s4t thermal paste transfers heat, it doesn't dissipate it. it goes between the heat source and the heat sink/exchanger to ensure good thermal conduction.

Aluminium soda cans have a sprayed on plastic lining inside so in some instances they are not ideal for making a jet engine because the plastic ignites and triggers the aluminium to heat as well. Maybe use a steel paint can or aerosol can which is not food grade.

@@asrafmezat8261There are many factors which make a jet engine go under self sustaining cycle, the most important in it is temperature which causes the injected fuel to keep burning, once the engine reaches the stage in which it doesn't require any external force to keep going (i.e. starter motor and ignition system), it will automatically attain self sustaining cycle and will continue to run until it gets damaged or it's fuel runs out.
