In part II, I will go in-depth in construction of the fuselage, scribing panel, and getting a good fit between the wings and fuselage.

Lovely methodical build! Questions so far... What benefit do you find applying poly with precision nozzle and then Tamiya thin poly over the join? Is the Vallejo Mecha black better than say, Vallejo acrylic polyurethane primer (which comes in a big bottle)?

Hi Blootered, I think the poly with the precision nozzle helps created a stronger bond in my opinion. But if you don't have the precision Tamiya works fine as well. But instead of using their brush, I use a bigger brush to add in my cement. Ok so the Vallejo primer question....that is a bit tricky. Because I talked to Vallejo and they told me that the Mecha primers and their regular primers are the pretty much the same with a slight difference. i don't know what that slight difference is.....but I think that slight difference makes Mecha primers better. They seem to airbrush better and the finish seems nicer to me. So I use their Mecha primers. I also found if you add in my thinning mixture into the primers they work better and sand better after only 40 mins.
