Thanks for sharing! You are right in saying that none of the companies (Border, Very Fire, Tamiya) are accurate in their scale models, because as you say, there were always corrections and changes in the details. The problem is that when you go and compete with a model of this type, you can be "disqualified" because a judge did not like some detail that you put on your model. But hey, the thing is to enjoy modeling, right?. By the way, I bought the Tamiya 78025... but I think I'll buy the Very Fire one later. Thanks again for your video!

Your review is very usefull to me. I have yet to decide on either the Border or the Veryfire. I will watch and make up my mind during your build series. Arigatō.

veryfire's yamato box upgraded,Overseas products are packed in double-layer cartons and can be delivered to players intact. You can even get replacement parts.
I have the Deluxe Tamiya kit with Ponto detail set version 2 in my stash but got a great deal on the Very Fire Yamato on Ali so will be interesting to compare the two.

Great video, thank you very much. Border model always have an issue with packaging and poor instructions eh.. those 155mm guns look great in the Border kit but I think I prefer the Very Fire overall. Strange that the Border has no ships boats... neither does Tamiya.. mmmmm?

Hi Nagel, I miss you ^^ I also prefer the design of very fire and the number of parts is sufficient.

awesome comparison video! Thanks for that. It's interesting to see how different both kits are of the same subject. It would be interesting to know where both companies sourced their research. But as you said, who's to say who's right? VF tend to have needless PE for the sake of using PE (eg, the main turrets, the PE ladders up the side of the superstructure etc) and I'm not sure that having raised rivets at this scale is the right thing to do. It does look cool though, I'll give them that. Its a shame that Border didn't invest more time into better blast bags, or at least offer them as 3D printed parts. I think I'll get the Border kit for it's easier construction design. Thanks again for helping me - and no doubt many others, to make my mind up

I actually got my Border Model Yamato recently and it came with nicely 3d printed blast bags. So that's really interesting to see it lacking in this box. As for sources on the Yamato, the big problem is there's no real primary sources for her, the Japanese were incredibly thorough in the destruction of the Yamato ships plans. Heck, only one photo of their sister the Shinano even exists afaik. There isn't even any documentation of their construction at Kure, Mitsubishi, or Yokosuka. Basically every model built is only able to rely on a scattering of photos and scans of the wreckage, so theres a lot of room for interpretation as more is learned about WWII Japanese shipbuilding.

A great idea to build the three models and then make a comparison
Great video, thanks! I have the deluxe veryfire yamato... I like my models as much detailed is possible. Can you tell me, please, what is that book with black covers? Looks great. Greetings from Romania!
