: when I worked at the post office , I worked as a mail carrier and a mha at two different buildings. when I was a mail carrier , I learned the hard way .. dont be a hard worker .. just be a normal worker and make sure you get it done and do nothing extra cause they will USEEEEEE YOU !! like work your bones out your body !

I worked in a big district where we never seen the post master and our managers and supervisors all acted the same. at least your manager was understanding and stood up for you . they team up on us over here

we basically do in house mail processing. all the preparation to get the mail sorted, to your carriers, to your P.O. Boxes and get mail out to get transferred to other facilities. I’m technically a clerk, that’s why you transfer over after PSE. we work at the windows in the post office as well.

When I tell you I hated that job, girl I worked there and at the post office before the army at the same time. I tell people all the time the hardest job I’ve ever worked was FedEx at the airport. Like good lord. I would work the post office and then go there about 5 hours later

When it comes to jobs, be ready to prioritize you first. Crazy people are pervasive, so please take care of yourself out there. 🥺 Know your rights, seek plenty of allies, be sure to support those allies when it doesn't hurt, etc. Remember that you only have one life, and nobody ever regretted not working themselves to death. That said, I need to follow that advice. 😅😅 I always overdo it in my school and I seriously need to plan how I expend my effort. Otherwise I will burn out again. 😑🤕 It's so hard out there! 😮 All the unaccounted expenses! Many kudos to you for persisting. 👍 Though, don't burn yourself out, please. 🥺 Work shouldn't take over your life. Please don't do what I did.

These jobs will play you, know you’re rights as a worker & veteran. She playing & saying a freaking statement like that as if it is a problem she gonna find herself in a problem legally. She can’t tell you what to classify your days & when to take it.

EXACTLY ! she made a statement. Nothing was ever said as a question. The guy I ended up talking to told me to say next time “I planned something on my off day, so no I will not be able to come in and I will still use my veteran leave the next day”. Her telling him “I was trying to allow her to save her veteran leave” sounds crazy because it’s paid leave. It doesn’t roll over if you don’t use it all. We get 108 veteran appointment hours every year, thank God. I already work 6 days a week. I’m well over 40 hours. Even if I work 5 days a week I’m still at 40 hours.
