As someone who grew up with Mario party 8, 9, and 10, I do like those games so I can confirm that growing up with those games is more likely to be likeable. In Mario Party 8, though, I ALWAYS lose the monkey minigame where you climb. I never have gotten the timing, the coconuts are thrown at different directions, and half of the time when you try to react to it, it's too late to react

9 and 10 are fair but I do think overhated, actually pretty fun overall. And the boss fight mechanics are fun. Also…while I agree with 2 being the best, I can’t see any world where 1 is better than 3. And 8 got done soooo dirty that’s a top 3 for sure.

I grew up on Mario Party 8 and 9, I'm trying to let my bias aside buy Mario party 9 is severely underrated. I understand the car thing was stupid but the boards and mini games were amazing, boss rush, the extras, the shop. Character roster was good, i think the game is being brought down too much cuz of the car
