Hey girl, I'm looking to starting my locs and you mentionned in one of your videos that you have Seborrheic Dermatitis How often did you wash your hair at the beginning? Did you have trouble with unraveling of your twists? Im struggling with the same thing and worried that ill ruin my locs at the beginning.

Hi! So when I first started, my loctican didn’t want me washing my own hair until I came back to her. So it went like this: install date (wash that day), next wash day was five weeks later, then next wash day was like 6 weeks later. In between washes I would just clean my scalp (rose water, scalp elixir, etc). I didn’t have any unraveling. Some people begin washing every 2 weeks after their first retie. I’m sure you can do that as well. I braided and banded almost a year so that kept them from unraveling.
