In this episode we check out Mick from Mad Ford Engineering! After Project 2000 blew her Mountune engine at Brands Hatch we take the 1997 Ford Escort RS2000 MK6 down to Mick's to begin the rebuild! With a huge host of modifications planned we are excited to show you guys what goes down! As well as this we also check out a few Ford Escort RS Turbo's that he has in for some work!
After this we head off to SMV repairs to see the JZX100 Mark 2 1.5JZ after all the paintwork and tidy up's! Really hope you guys like how she is starting to turn out, looking pretty fresh for an ex Ebisu car! Mk6 Rs2000 engines are 150bhp standard, can use the 2.3 galaxy block to make abit more power, 2.0 & 2.3 are re-engineered Sierra twin cam engines

A CVH with a tune and big bore exhaust remains in my top 5 of 4 bangers for noise. Better than the Cossie YB. The CVH sounds like a bag of nails up front but from behind nom nom nom. Something about a deep gurgle and the turbo whistle is very 80’s. Rose tinted specs? Maybe but I stand by it 👌

Not car related but I just realised my Dad used to work at a plant nursery (Bolton's Bros) where Mick's place is now. I used to spend Saturdays as a kid helping my Dad grow plants. Wow, in that MAD garage is some RS Turbo's i missed back in the 90's that i did not steal and strip for parts. Sorry but yes i'm one of the main reasons RS Turbos and Cosworths are worth so much these days. I also know where there is a full complete Escort RS Turbo on a H reg with just 1100 miles on the clock in a lake in kent, it was used in a few burglaries so we dumped it there, you can see the roof through the water on a summers day when the water level drops, and yes i will be pulling the fucka out one day in the near future.
