This is very impressive from both kids!! If you haven't spent time teaching chess to kids, you wouldn't appreciate how remarkable this is. The girl was having fun and hardly paying attention while executing decent tactics that some adult casual players would miss. And to think the boy continued to press and didn't cry after placing his queen en prise and losing it? Mature! By comparison, my five year old son who I like to think is pretty smart started reading before turning three, now takes his school lessons with second graders (many are at least two years older than him) because of how advanced he is, knows 1 through 12 multiplication tables, knows the names, capitals, and flags of over 120 countries by heart, plays chess, and is starting to enjoy tactical puzzles. But even he isn't close to these kids' level in blitz. Please give these kids big credit. I bet they do well in school too. Well done by their teachers. Any advice for me to help him improve faster?
