Just subscribed...wanting to know if this is roughly the same engine as a 1984 Yamaha YTM 200e??...asking because I have to do piston/rings(no biggie there) but also have to install a new transmission..my question is does the case have to be split??...or is the trans available/accessible on the flywheel side to do so??.....Ty in advance for any info anyone

There needs to be a moto4 club hahaha I got 3 of em, gotta big bear a grizzly and brute force but can’t seem to get rid of the moto4’s heck they still run strong and there fun to have for extra machines for visitors

Hey. I have a leaking head gasket and burning oil out the tailpipe. Would you recommend pulling the motor to replace the cylinder and piston or should I leave the motor in?

My Yamaha motto 4 225 won’t start, getting spark but exhaust seems to be sucking in and intake seems to be blowing exhaust. I suspect the cam gear slipped do you know if it can be fixed through the cam gear cover without pulling the motor or am I hoopajooped?

question: does the chain guide on the exhaust side just sit in place freely by the cam sprocket, or does it tuck into the nook/notch that is in the cylinder head? Thank you

I recently pulled the top end off 225 tri moto and a noticed that one of the fins or what ever you want to call them at the bottom of the piston broke off. I pulled my oil filter and it's full of metal shavings. I was wondering if you think that's worth putting a new top end in and leave the bottom end.

@@MidNebraskaMotorsports ok thank you and I am subscribed and I measured the top of the connecting rod were the wrist pin goes and it says it's 15.90mm and measured the wrist pin and it's 16mm and there is a lot of pitting so I was wondering if the connecting rod is to worn out to much if it's even worth rebuilding

@@MidNebraskaMotorsports Hello, thank you for replying. i took some time yesterday and put a tiny camera to see inside the cylinder and theres scorch marks. i guess thats gonna be one hell of a rebuild lol. just wondering also, how do i remove the engine from the frame as it is shaft driven and im not sure if i have to remove the rear axle and stuff. thanks

thanks i guess what I'm trying to figure out is if there's a way to remove the engine without removing the pivot bolts. they are completely stuck. i tried heat and all kinds of other things to get them out. I'm hoping i can take the engine out without worrying about it just to get it running. thanks a lot for your help.
