Very nice build once again. Very disappointing that Prinz Eugen was used for atomic test, she would make a great museum.

Prinz Eugen is a museum. You just need to wear scuba gear. The Kriegsmarine tradition is to refer to ships named after men with the pronoun “he” instead of the British tradition of referring to all ships as “she”. Prinz Eugen is named after Field Marshall Prinz Eugen Francis Bismarck is named after Otto von Bismarck Tirpitz is named after Alfred von Tirpitz. All of these ships used the pronoun “he” in the Kriegsmarine.

Could you do a video on how your modeling space/area is setup, the most frequently used equipments and colors. Also, what kind if board do you modelers use(green one)? Excellent model and great video!
@KumaModels4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! I use a big cutting mat. (The green one in my videos) The small blue cutting mat is just to separate the parts that have already been cleaned.
@ahmeterenispir83624 жыл бұрын
Impressive attention to the detail. That Flyhawk set is insane, and you building it in 1/700 is more insane. Please regard this as a constructive comment, the painting job you have done is shaded by the low quality of your airbrush and tamiya paints. That glossy red strikes one's eyes in a such way that the model seems toyish. As far as I know, they were kind of ID paints, instead of yellow turret roof paint which was for camouflaging the turret by showing it in the same color of the wooden deck from a distance. I use Mr Hobby Aqua colors for both Airbrush and Paintbrush, and they make less shinning than Tamiya's for sure. If only you were someone with limited skills, I would just say, "Well done, such a great ship!" But because you work a lot on your models and you are talented, I wanted to say what I believe. Keep up the good work and good luck with Bismarck ;)

Very very nice. I'm back to building again as a hobby, but at mid 50's, the eyes and hands can't do this type of detail anymore and it gets frustrating. So, I just stick to cars where the finer points like railings and impossibly small guns are not required.

Hats off to your work. I wouldn't be able to see some parts in this scale, if there were no videos like this. So thanks for that. On the other hand, let me have some notices. The paint scheme is from 1941, but on the base is year 1942, when she was painted differently. The radar on the top of the superstructure was fitted in 1943 to early '44, but the one on the main mast was mounted in late 1944.

Prinz eugen is such a wonderfull ship sad to see that the americans didnt see it.
@Cablancer24 жыл бұрын
I wish she would have seen a longer life too but the Americans didn't end her because they didn't see the wonder in the ship; it's because they couldn't keep her running. After the German crew went home, they didn't have to knowledge to prevent 11 of her 12 boilers from failing.
@agwhitaker4 жыл бұрын
@@Cablancer2 Very handsome ship, but the boilers were finicky and tricky to operate and maintain. Also remember the war was over and the American navy was beginning to down-size. They had a number of new 'Baltimore' class heavy cruisers on hand - probably more than a peace-time navy needed. Trying to keep the Prinz Eugen in commission would have been a real logistical head-ache.
