That rear "crew quarters" would be amazing if converted to a "dive locker". Take out the bunks and the head and build it out to hold air tanks, wet suits, air compressor to fill the tanks, etc. Just a great boat all around.

You know I would love it you could find a yacht with secret compartments or secret bedrooms. Learning the Lines has some really unique or bizarre even, uncommon type yachts I didn't even know existed. Probably boats that don't make it to boat shows. Maybe you could show some of those?

The two hull cabins are a bit pokey (they often are on cats) but I do like the main deck and the owners cabin is nice. Great tour as always.

It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but again for the smaller end of the market Cats are growing on me, especially liked the master cabin on this one. If I was going to choose a Cat to go for I still find the Silent Cats hard to beat though, taking life easy around 6knots for freeish whilst partaking in beautiful scenery what more could you ask for 🤔 still ❤️ Aquaholics Mr Burnham sir love you even more if we get a super yacht soonish 🙏👌🖖

No generators?? I didn’t see a gen or a stabilizer spinny thingermabob (or a whatchamacallit)? 2 million 💵 seems awfully pricey for the fit and finish of this boat. Just my two cents worth…. However the vid tour was very good, Nick! Especially the effort put into that ladder to see the American 🇺🇸 made Cummins diesel grit! 😂❤

Wonderful tour! Seems so much larger than it is. Massive amount of living space. Would definitely want the enclosed helm. I know when your carrying a camera ladders are tricky, but they seem so awkward for the engine compartments. I mean the rest of the boat makes up for it. Just saying, if I had a complaint.

Fantastic layout! Cracking boat. Can't help but think the finish inside is too monotone, other manufacturers would have had different colours and textures on the walls, break up the vast areas of brown. White GRP decks look rubbish and the lack of internal helm feels like a big compromise too

This obviously suits a lot of people, but I couldn't help thinking - what's that MDF partition with a door? - sleeping under a window (?I big scary nono for me) - no chance of an early night if people want to party in the saloon - only external helm what if it rains - only internal helm sitting on your own while everyone else is sunbathing? I'd just say it's jolly lucky I can hardly afford a yacht for my bath!

Space. So much space. Catamarans are often roomy but this boat takes it to another level! To have 5 cabins on a 50 (ish) yacht is superb. Brilliant tour as always thanks Nick.

This catamaran is spacious. And Aquilla didn't waste any of it. Clever layout - nothing is crowded. This is a four season, genuine liveaboard traveling yacht. Room for plenty of clothes, food and stores of all sorts. Pack away a year's supply of everything. Wow. What a cruiser. See the World in the comfort of your own yacht - not an overpriced stateroom on a cruise ship. Aquilla, GREAT job. Nick, a fine tour. Thanks to all.

Hey Nick you really cannot beat the amount of extra space you get with a catamaran compared to a single hull, the beam alone allows so much more also I like the main deck cabin on this beauty. Have a great day bud

I always love the space on Catamarans, but I do wonder how they handle rougher seas. I know they roll more than a single hull, I just don't have the experience to know whether it matters that much. But yeah, definitely would go with the enclosed flybridge!

It's not so much a matter of rolling more as it is differently, especially in a full beam sea. Wave goes under one hull, then under the bridge deck then the other hull. Personally I feel the rolling motion less on a cat than on a mono hull of roughly the same size. That's assuming no active stabilization is in use of course.

On a side note Nick do you think it would be possible to just drop in the fuel tank capacity so I can tell how efficient that long range is as if it's got a 10,000ltrs tank it's thirsty but obviously if it's 1,500ltrs it's not bad. Cheers 👍

I think Aquila will sell these as fast as they can make them. Great boat and has 2000 mile range at sailboat speeds. The enclosed flybridge makes it an all-weather boat.

I think your tape measure is faulty Nick! There's no way that is only 54ft! It's like a TARDIS! Great use of space, great customisable options. Definitely needs the enclosed flybridge helm though, regardless of where it was kept/sailed to. Great boat!

Very clever use of space, love the master suite and the flybridge would have to be enclosed for UK waters. Too much exposed Gelcoat/GRP, I almost went snowblind. White everywhere, crying out for teak decks, cockpit, foredeck, flybridge and some muted colour fabric below decks.

Silent Yachts needs to hire the designer for the Aquila 54. There is so much about this boat that is right. It even has Cummins engines? Super awesome and reliable. The one fly in the Chardonnay is its a Chinese boat I understand. But I think I might be able to ignore that because the design is superb.

Aesthetically catarmarans are not my thing - but this one is, despite saying that, a reasonably attractive design. However I fully recognise the benefits from a functionality perspective. I went out, a few times, on a friend's Lagoon model that was based at Keppel Island marina in Singapore and there's no doubt they're very spacious - and actually you can forget about the ugly looks since when on the boat you don't have to look at it.....
