Always wanted to ask about this. Isnt settling cities in the range of 4 tiles a waste of space? Why u think it is better to do that?

Esteemed Listen Fish, like most of us you are (or were) still thinking tall and trying to scatter those huge but sparse Civ V cities as much as you can. In Civ VI due to the districts, adjacency bonuses, extension bonuses, cheap settling, the amenities replacing the happiness mechanic, loyalty, starting close to the ai, etc, going wide (settling lots of cities) is definitely more viable!

So if you put a holy site on the copper, you lose the copper resource correct? Would you be able to retain a copy if you harvested it first?

You cant retain resources that you chop, and copper is a bonus and offers no amenities regardless. He would recieve gold if he chopped

if you wanted to go religion then the pantheon that give faith from good appeal tiles was the way to go.

nah, not enough land to work, archipelago forces you to settle tiny little three tile islands with tons of maritime resources, those + god of the sea, fisheries and a harbor makes for some positively insane cities. Faith with Australia is just a matter of finding a mountain basically. If you're lucky a natural wonder+breathtaking (mostly the case)+ mountain . Three holy sites + buildings like that will net Prime Minister Curtin like seventy faith/turn.

How did that Holy Site give you +7 Faith? Shouldn't it be +4?

xXMicroGamerXx Australia bonus. Holy Sites, Campuses and Theatre Squares get additional yield from the tile appeal. +1 for charming and an extra +2 for breathtaking so breathtaking tiles give +3 yield for those districts. Same reason why his campus is so insanely strong.
