Yes you do! With a kayak, this place is a gem but from the bank, you’ll definitely need to figure out the fish pattern and season

Sweet awesome video. Honest question does that umbrella over the go pro help it from over heating or just provides better light/shade for the video?

It’s to stop it from overheating. Completely stopped it and it was only $2 😂

Do you bleed out before you put in the ice chest? Nice day of fishing . I was hoping you kepted a couple. Fishing is not free . There is a fence you have to walk through. How do you get the kayak through? Or is the ramp open before the fence. I haven't been there in awhile
@FishingWithAlexS6 ай бұрын
Thank you! I usually bleed fish out that I keep 😅 The fence is gone and replaced with metal poles before the ramp

@AllBassNoBrakes6 ай бұрын
I've tried to bank fish that area without much luck. Do you think it's worth it to get out there and do some bank fishing soon?
@FishingWithAlexS6 ай бұрын
To be honest, bank fishing can be tough. Need to be there around 5:30am for a chance to cast for bass before all the other fisherman shows up and disrupt the banks. Slow top water lures like poppers or walking baits work best. A lot of rocks to snag up on if you plan to work the bottom. I like to start from the Jefferson bridge (closest to the entrance) and work my way west all the way to the other bridge. Super early and you’ll definitely get some. GL
@AllBassNoBrakes6 ай бұрын
@@FishingWithAlexS thanks man I appreciate the insight! Sloughs and ponds tend to be the only places that produce for me from the bank lol I’ll try this spot out early though

You ever fish lake washington or head straight to the dwc?
@FishingWithAlexS6 ай бұрын
Depends on the season. Spring and summer, I hit the shoreline. Fall and winter, you can find me chasing huge schools of stripers in the center of lake Washington. I like to drop lazer minnows down to them. If the school of stripers are there, I can easily catch 20+ in 30 mins or so

If you google map barge canal, you’ll see it open up into a lake called Lake Washington and then it’s called DWC when you travel pass that. “Shoreline” is basically just the edge/bank of lake Washington

RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RICE DOCK AND THE BANK ON LEEVE, I HAD A POND PROWLER ,I HAD A 100 FT NEW ROPE AND A ANCOR I LET IT DOWN I WAS AMAZED HOW EXACTLY DEEP IT IS. IT TOOK HALF THE ROPE LOWERED TO TOUCH BOTTOM I ESTIMATED 50FT. IT MIGHT BE DEEPER IN OTHER PARTS.

Got there at 6am, caught on just about everything in low tide above the grass line or just in front of it near deeper water. High tide around noon, the fish sat right behind the grass line next to the shore. They are very hungry and aggressive

The bass fishing was better before it got all choked up with grass. There were also better salmon and striper when the river flows were higher and the docks weren't accepting barges.
@hunterbinns52696 ай бұрын
The place gets over fished now a days
@FishingWithAlexS6 ай бұрын
It does but majority of the fishermen do not know how to fish this body of water. Spring-summer is hot for bass. Fall-spring is hot for salmon, stripers and a variety of panfish
