The crappies will hit worms for sure. Just do a drop shot style or a sliding bobber with a bobber stop at least 10’ GL out there. They are loaded in there

You guys know when the prespawn usually starts for Largemouth? When does Striper take off?

Pre spawn for LMB is around early spring and when the water is in the upper 50s. Should be around the same time you hear about striper fishing in the Sacramento River. The stripers will pop off near the end of February or beginning of march. You’ll find them hugging the banks of the muddy river, sometimes just 15’ out underneath the flooded trees

@ my fingers have been itching for some bass but I want to target them in lakes with very deep water. Something different about a finesse jig, ned rig and a small swimbait bite in 50’ of water. Do it every year and just haven’t made a video on it

😅 The stripers can sometimes hug the bank in 10’ of water. I suggest trolling with lighter Arigs to help target all the different depths. There are small schools underneath the birds in the middle of Lake Washington but are finicky. I may do a video on my Arig setup and also trying live bait the next time I head out there. I think Lake Amador Trout and bass fishing is my next target. I’m not sure if I saw Philsolophishing out there. Need to pay attention more 😅

It really depends on the weight of your Arig. We each trolled at different speeds because we used different size jig heads or weights to keep the rig down. I was trolling at 1.7-2.1 mph. I like to troll around 1.5 if I could but when I see my rig tap the bottom then I know to move faster. In 25-30’ of water, you’ll want your rig 15-20’ down

Only at barge canal is where you will find the stained water but once you get into Lake Washington and beyond, the water is nice with good visibility
