I like the simplicity of this and the price - but I LOVE my GrassFlap’s. Fast and easy to tap the foot pedal and I can feather it to wherever I want too, all while keeping both hands on the sticks. Also, we’ve got lots of low trees and you don’t have a handle to worry about snagging. I do like the all metal construction of this one for sure though.

Installed the chute blocker last year on my 60" Turf Tracer. It's saved me on so many yards with having cars parked next to the curb and mowing wet grass, not spraying mulch beds and also not spraying a house with grass. Only issue I have is that the handle with the extension does not reach to me while I am operating it so I have to go to neutral and move the chute up or down. Minor complaint on an otherwise excellent product!

It blows my mind that people want that big handle sticking up while they are mowing. It also blows my mind that more people don’t use Grass Flaps. In my opinion they are by far the best option on the market. Brian I really think if you did a comparison video between the two you would be surprised how much more you like the Grass Flap. The Grass Flap also works with the accelerator bagger bracket. I have nothing against Kory or his products I just don’t think the Grass Flap gets enough attention for how excellent of a product it is.

@@campoffthemap8307 I prefer the grass flap as well. Being able to open and close it without stopping is a game changer. Also being able to open it part ways while mowing is nice. I wish it had the holes though to see if it really stops the trail of grass when closed. Had mine for about 4 years now, no issues.

I just sent back the grass flap soon as I got it in the box. For me I didn't appreciate a company sending you a bunch of pieces and tell you to make your own chute blocker my friend had to use a blow torch and a rubber mallet to bend the bracket on his to fit on his new Scag. I went with qwikchite because molded to your mower straight out the box. The other thing I didn't like grass flap is when I pressed the foot pedal on my friend mower it really didn't work that great too much adjusting needed.

The Advanced Chute System chute blocker is junk. Watch my video on the review I did on it for my Gravely ZT HD48. Unless they changed their manufacturing process, the flap is not flat causing blow back. It took a $5.00 fix from Lowes or Home Depot to fix mine.

The problem I ran into with the Advanced Chute Blocker is that the handle rubs against the hose and wears a hole in it when open. On some mowers, the handle also gets very hot because the exhaust blows out that side right onto the handle. That's why I switched to the "Grass Flap" with the foot peddle.

I've used their power lockers for years and love them. Recently swapped the fleet and bought several new ones. Their measurements for the tires are way off. Still love the wheel locks but they need to reevaluate the measurements and what mowers to use them on. Running 2 Grandstands and the new HDX proline. All tires the same size and the medium locker is way too big. Also bought the cup holder. It flew off the mower on an open trailer in less than a half day. Gonna try the x-blades for fall cleanups using the Red Magic Maxfill on the Grandstands. I run mulch kits on the proline and a Grandstand and the Matador chute blocker on the other Grandstand which seems far superior than this. The Matador allows me to use a bagger when needed and no holes to drill. It may be only available for Grandstands though.

I just got this Advance chute blocker. You're right that it's open most of the time. I'm sure if you're mowing lawns every week it'll work great. The problem I'm finding is that if you only mow every two weeks, it tends to leave a very pronounced ridge of clippings. It's not the chute blocker fault. We've been having a ton of rain so in two weeks the lawns are pretty high and thick so subsequently the ridge of clippings is pretty bad. Not quite sure how to handle that. My wife and I are retired and only mow 24 lawns and only one is an every week lawn. Having said that, I'm glad I got it to prevent shooting rocks, hickory nuts (on one lawn in the fall) and the mulched flower beds. Again, about half of the lawns we do, the people are only there every couple of weeks or even once a month so they don't want the lawns mowed every week. One account I've only met a couple of times in 4 years. Plus we're in the country not suburbia so the lawns are comprised of whatever happened to grow. Most folks are just happy if their lawns are green. One guy has a lawn that was once a potato field. Talk about a bumpy ride! I don't think they put a lot of effort into smoothing it out. It's a completely different mowing experience than most lawn mowing videos I see in cities or the 'burbs on KZbin. You do make some outstanding products. I got a Darwin's Grip a year ago and absolutely love it. Keep up the good work.

The chute blocker is fine and all the problem I'm having is with the catch pro. The catch pro is well made and well designed and in my opinion is a top quality product, but the adapter that comes with it to bolt on to your mower is a whole different story. For starters its made out of aluminum when it should be made out of steel. I've went through 2 of them already and both broke on me when using it for the first time. The adapter needs to made out of something a lot more hard and durable. If your mower does not need the adapter, by all means you should get the catch pro but if your mower does need the adapter I would not recommend this product to you at all.
