Never a bad thing to get a Bill Walton auto. One of the most interesting guys in NBA history. He had a show on ESPN for a little while that was just him walking around Haight Ashbury in San Francisco telling stories about his time in the league and the Grateful Dead. He actually, after his injury with Portland, went to see them play at the Great Pyramids in Egypt. I remember seeing backstage photos of him on crutches watching the band play.

Honestly man...I flip flop on what I'd rather have. I have a similar argument in my head every single time I go to the card shop. Depends on the mood I'm in 🤣. Probably 60% smaller packs, 35% one packers. If my 7 year old is with...definitely more small packs. Personally my favorite rip right now is 2022 Prizm NBA Draft Picks hobbybox. My LCS has them for $100. Lots of numbered and cool stuff, 4 autos, and my last one even had a color blast!

Tbh I think the rookies subset will gain value over time as ppl pay more attention to pop reports when grading/buying/selling, especially the holos which are way rarer than standard holos

@@joemarsh2050 yeah but that 1 pack has guaranteed hits whereas the others don’t. sure you have high chances with hobby packs, but you could just as easily walk away with no hits out of those non guaranteed packs. not to say one is better than the other, but that’s why a higher end box with (for example) 5 total cards guaranteeing 1 auto 1 mem and 1 numbered will sell as equally as a handful of hoops/revolution/optic/etc that only guarantee a single autograph or two in a box of 20 or so packs. hence why he said the big pack is more consistent, because it is. it’s not consistent for what you pay, but it is for what you’re guaranteed.

Even though a guaranteed hits in the big pack. I like the 20 packs. Reason guaranteed hit pack might not get you the best value for risk. With little packs not only can you get lucky on a good hit, but many other cards and rookies that can be big in the future. Great video.
