They only tend to do this with contracted players. Adidas used to openly market the fact they had the original predators custom fitted. They would have their feet moulded in plaster of Paris and custom fit from there.

The C6 guards are far better. I didn't find the Flylites to actually be that protective. Cool design for sure, but definitely not the most effective in regards to impact protection.
