This is so true. I’ve been training and playing football alomkst everyday for the last 7 years. And after 3 months of me not wearing football boots, just using trainers playing in concrete I wore my boots and trained on grass, got my first blister ever

Great video Josh! I wanted to add to your point of not tying the boots too tight at first when you get them. I see CR7 in training once didn’t tie his Superfly 7 at all as I’m assuming he gets it true to size and they are tight enough to stay on his feet, specially when brand new so possibly this might be a technique as well 🤔 and once they are broken in somewhat you can tie to your preference in terms of tightness. Considering how tight a boot like a Mercurial fits right outta the box I think this is an interesting technique

Another thing that helps is wearing your boots at practice with 2 socks...they are soft already and the extra volume softens them even more, also proper maintenance softens and preserves the fit...at least it always worked on my copa and puma king i used for 26 years

My boots feel snug/tight around my arch area. In the toe area it’s fine. Just got them too. Do I just need to break them in? The boots I have are the new Adidas Predator 24 league FG. Prior to owning these I used to wear my Predator 19.1’s and now they fit great but I think they fit pretty snug when I first hot them. Don’t remember tbh, but will these new Predator 24’s fit more comfortably once I break them in?

Typically any shoe will feel more comfortable after they're worn in a little. Whether or not the shape just isn't right for your foot because of the width however, that's something you should typically decide before playing in the boots. If they just don't fit you well to begin with, that typically won't improve with wear time.

The boots I wore prior to owning these were the Adidas Predator 19.1’s and I swear they fit snug at first but after years of playing in them they fit like a glove perfectly. @@jv2841 For me yes, but my feet was actually 10.5 uk and I can see now that the Nike have made their boots model more tighter, so I choose 0.5 up, which is 11 uk, it fits perfect And please dont tie up your laces so tight, cause it might hurt your feet I recommend you to try venom cause it feels very good

Imo, basically you have to try varies boots that (by right) suits you. Eg, for my own play style and position, i always go for predator, mania, absolute, ace 16.1, and freak, i loves them all but i always have 1 problem, my carve get tighten and soreness after an hour, specially when restarting the game after 15min rest. I thought it was nothing uncommon, until i finally tried Tiempo 9 legend recently, i dont feel that at all, even until full 90min, yes im still getting use to the adjustment of getting less trust (because of the predators surface) on the tiempo during ball contact, but it does give me 90min of full comfort which i wasnt expected from nike, at all, it was a mind blown tbh. Let just say u are able to try those like what Josh mentioned, but somehow the different is that youre not sitting/chillin wearing the boots, you run, or jogg most of the time. So like me, i suggest if you are willin to spend for boots probably one every ..2 years? U might want to go for same type of boots but different brand, you might somehow find THE ONE. Tricks does helped abit here and there but i would say try to find the best pair for your leg

Wish I listened to all your advice prior to wearing my new pair in a game. Quick question, the boots I wore have very tight outsoles. Is it possible that this is one of the reasons I tore my Achilles tendon in a game? I feel like due to the lack of flexibility of the soles, the tension went directly to my tendon. Granted, I was out of shape and played 2 games in a roll. However, I can't help but place some of the fault to the hard shoes. Thanks.
