Hope this message from Gauranga Prabhu goes deeper into the minds and hearts of people in India. India needs an urgent reevaluation of its social and spiritual values. The daily basis reality is so distant from those ideals, that it is a contradiction to the core. I'll explain why. In October I went to a yatra in north India. Kedarnath was part of the yatra. It was my second time there, I went before in 2004. What I lived and saw in Kedarnath was so disappointing and shameful, to the level of disturbing nightmares. The way people are behaving on those deeply sacred places is very far from true spirituality. The animal slavery and abuse that is going on there is a shameful stain for India. The donkey handlers beat and abuse to death those poor innocent creatures. I saw, with my own eyes, dead donkeys on the path. I was in tears. My heart was broken. I happened to be there the same day when the helicopter crash happened, where seven people lost their lives. There are no regulations, no discipline, no control, and people are going there as if it was a normal holiday or on vacation, not a spiritual pilgrimage. It took me 8 hours to reach the temple, walking by foot, tired and hungry,. But, I did it! Only the elderly people knew the true significance of the yatra. India is a beautiful country and I love India wholeheartedly. I respect Mother India with the depth of my soul. But, people are losing their core values due to social media, materialism and trying to fit in the global narrative. India, is time for the wake up call! This time around, India will be lost not because of foreign influences or colonization, but because of their own carelessness.

Most Indians don't read the Dharmic scriptures. India is no longer dharmic - most urban dwellers are westernized and there's steep growth in conversions to i-slam and C'ianity. It's a sad picture of spiritual decline. The effects of Kali yuga - perhaps?
@rosanilebron1566 Жыл бұрын
@@mlg1279 Agree. Maybe the decline of spirituality is the side effect of the Kali Yuga era. Hope people get interested in reading and studying the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads.

dead donkeys... hmm... where does kindness evaporate when you eat meat? just because you don't see the slaughter, doesn't mean it is beautiful. kedarnath is a vacation for many people it is meant to be a vacation because for Indians vacation means visiting temples all around India

@@CinnamonStickk I don't eat animals or any animal by products or wear anything from animals. I've been a vegan for 33 years. You can't handle the truth, that's the real problem.

@@CinnamonStickk Vacations means visiting temples , that is your logic for justifying people's casual behaviour where they treat places like Kedarnath and Badrinath as tourist spots . People these days can justify any level of stupidity or do anything in these holy places just by saying that I don't care what anyone thinks about me

There is a bit of spiritual pride in this statement. Our world is evolving to become one nation. I have high respect for India and Hinduism but there is no one best country.

Of course. We are not talking about few individuals but a whole nation . All those born outside of India recognize this and have a desire and wish they were born in India.. why ? Even without having a deep interest in spirituality every individual here is making progress . Most of our traditional habits are designed to elevate us. So growth does happen whether one wants/knows about it or not. Thoda socho before ridiculing. Btw I am not a follower of isckon but agree everything he says in this video
