Some commentators say that David’s sisters were only his half sisters because his mother was once married to Nahash. Based on 2 Samuel 17:25 saying that David’s sister Abigail is the daughter of Nahash. Anyway… their theory is that’s why Nahash was good to David. But I don’t see how a King would allow his wife to take his daughters, go to another nation and marry a common man such as Jesse. But can anyone explain why 2 Samuel says that Abigail is the daughter of Nahash?
