I just want to say how AWESOME the guys at Redeemer Church are! So so very kind.

Marcus! We truly can’t thank you all enough! It was truly a special day and we were obviously blessed by the gear - but all the more by everyone who came from MxU and Amplio. Y’all are the real deal! All Glory to God!

I run sound at a church, we have an X32 for our sound console and it is super easy for our volunteers to use with the layout and setup. We had Bose speakers installed a couple of years ago in the sanctuary.

The M32 is still an amazing console, especially for how inexpensive they are these days! Love mine!

Why get an M32 and put Behringer preamps on it?
@You_dont_know_me_I_think6 күн бұрын
thats what i was thinking.
@laujovo53684 күн бұрын
does it actually matter?
@You_dont_know_me_I_think4 күн бұрын
@@laujovo5368 yes, behringer preamps aren’t as good as Midas pro preamps. That’s just because of quality of sound. Midas preamps are better sounding typically easier to hear syllables and such. Same reason you would get a m32 vs. x32. Just depends on the quality that you want.

@@laujovo5368 yes, you are making a great sounding console, sound worse than it should

Any reason why you guys didn't implement subwoofer poles instead of the default three legged tripods?
@mxurocks7 күн бұрын
We ordered them, but they were not delivered on time!

what was the budget
@galaniz108 күн бұрын
My guess is close to 10k with mixer and speakers alone.
@realbingus8 күн бұрын
Yeah, I’d guess about 30k including installation.
@galaniz108 күн бұрын
@realbingus didn't think about installation 😂
@realbingus8 күн бұрын
@@galaniz10 hehe, no worries. It’s a similar setup to what we have in our church, so that’s what I used to estimate it. Our speakers & subs are a bit larger, and we use some more inputs and wireless mics. But pretty similar overall. We have an old 720p PTZ camera that we’re replacing this year, so I’m looking into different options. Like a remote controlled BlackMagic Cinema camera in a DJI gimbal, using a MiddleThings Remote. Or a Panasonic/PTZOptics PTZ camera.

@realbingus same here but I did all the installation 🤣 that's why I didn't think installation right away.

Allthough the system looks very nice, there are quite a few small points that just don't make any sense to me: 1. Get a couple poles to screw into the subs and put the tops on that. This takes away the phase issue where the sub sound comes later than the mid/high sound and just looks a lot nicer. (also tie the cables to the stands please, it just looks like cable mess) 2. Why on earth would you spend the extra money on a M32 only to combine it with an S16 with the worse preamps and connectors? To be honest, the M32's build quality is better than an X32 but does a church like this actually need this. I would have gone with an X32 to lower their budget or with a Wing which is just sonically a lot better than both the X32 or M32 and a lot more future proof. Sure it might look a lot more intimidating, but it's really not when it has been configured properly. 3. Why go with radial DI's in this setup? You will not get the better sound quality of them in a setup like this so no use spending the extra money on them. Build quality might be a factor, but you went with an S16 whose XLR's are notorious for getting connectors stuck. 4. Get a couple mounts for the P16's. They are not that expensive (especially looking at the rest of the setup) and then you don't need to put them on the ground where it it likely that someone will step on them. The M32 also isn't the most popular mixer out there, that would arguably be the X32. Same software but a lot cheaper.

We had poles for the speakers, they just didn't arrive the day we did this! Radials for reliability's sake. We also had stands for the P16s, but they also didn't arrive that day.
