the minibus is used to stop when you yell "yau lok" 有落, means you would like to get off the bus. combine with the direction like next turn "yau lok" then he will stop after the turn also they dont use the same stops as buses(those double decker).They got their own stop for each line, but you can say bus stop please when you see one because the green minibus is allowed to stop within the normal bus stop

Thank you for the explanation! The mini bus I was on had buttons you could press if you wanted to get off. But “yau lok” should be a good term to remember in case the bus doesn’t have buttons.

@@EmadAssadi you are welcome. In old days, there was no bell on the minibus, so yelling that are still use by local HKers even got bell because its hard to remember the minibus stops unless you travel with that line everyday. Enjoy the trip in HK~
