1 Day Tour of Perlis and Alor Setar from Penang, drove about 3.5 hours to Wang Kelian from Penang, we started our journey at 3am to catch the sunrise. We arrived about 30 minutes before the sunrise so you can actually start around 3.30am if you are in Penang. Traffic was clear to and fro even though it was the Hari Raya weekend.
As usual we hunted for good food as well as visiting a few famous sites, we actually covered quite a bit in one day and also drove through Kangar town.
The highlight for me was visiting Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid again after a few years to see my old secondary school.
We got back to Penang around 8.30pm bit were too full to have dinner after the big meal in Alor Setar!

The bao shop is just nearby, if possible order the bao first before going for the walk in Gua Kelam. After that, come out to eat. Because if you don't book, the bao finished very quickly. Also, I made the mistake of going during Fasting month. Many places like the lake boat rides were closed.
