[redacted] Answered my own question. Just saw that it was Polyester thread, so most definitely a dye sublimation process for the thread. I wonder how long it would last before color fading took place. Dye subbed shirts and shirts and such show fading pretty quickly after just a few wash cycles. Perhaps because it's at the thread level, it can attain a more thorough dye saturation.

Okay, looks great, but, there are some but: 1. 90% of customers have designs with 1-2-3 colors, no more. 2. It is expensive and amortization is difficult. This is an expensive toy, the market is not ready for this type of machines, you will have 1 customer in a year who will want more than 12 colors embroidery, for 1 polo shirt, lol

Agreed, definitely geared to a specific niche. Regardless, amazing technology and looking forward to seeing how it plays out. I paid $64,000 for my first DOS based digitizing software in the 80’s, look how thats played out :)

How many different thread spool colors can be purchased compared to Coloreel's whopping price tag of over $40,K? Don't expect multi head machine owners to fork out that kinda dough for a Coloreel for each head. Plus what happens when ink clogs up the print head? New technology is not always good. This product is flat out impractical and won't be around for very long!! Remember Folk's the price is over $40,000!!!! Na... Coloreel complete failure!!
