I mainly use Poly X and Exquisite mainly because of the price and has performed well for me. Have even used it in my mid-arm quilt machine. Rayon does break easily but I love a lot of the color shades. I love metallic threads, but I use a horizontal spool holder.......best helper with this thread. Stops the thread from twisting and breaking in the tense disks. Thank you for this series

could you do something on how to know which prewound bobbin to get for your machine? I'm struggling to find any information to help me so don't order them at the moment, but they seem so handy... thanks

Different bobbin types can be a little confusing. Unfortunately, the manual doesn't necessarily tell you; however, we can look up a parts list and confirm. Once you know what type of bobbin you have, then you can get prewound bobbins appropriate for your machine. What is your make and model and I will be happy to look it up for you?

@@cecilianilsson1594 Your Janome MC500E embroidery machine takes a Class 15 bobbin. Here is a link for some 60 wt pre wound bobbins: www.sewingpartsonline.com/clear-glide-class-15-prewound-bobbins?variant_id=288964 As for your Viking, I am showing that machine has what is considered an uncommon bobbin. I have been unable to locate prewound bobbins noted for that model.
