Vikas Soni dear i said. density depends upon mix design . when you do quantity survey for asphalt the density will be give. how ever 2330 kg/cu.m is used mostly.

oka i knew but in floor we have used the ratio here ewe have no ratie in subbase we have onlu used course agrregate so here

murtaza khan you do not need any more calculation for aggregates. just find volume . because aggregates are always calculated inform of volume

Vikas Soni derivation is so simple . you can also do this. just take asphalt sample in unit volume. and weight it using balance. so the weight is unit weight because the valume of sample is taken as unit. now assume the unit weight as density.

dear bitumen is liquid which is used as binder in asphalt . just like the black liquid . and asphalt is mixture of aggregates and bitumen.....

Vikas Soni thanks for asking. its density of compacted asphalt . which is always given from lab engineer. remember this density is not constant . this can be changed when you change mix design.

Sorry not agreed with you sir because.. The density of bitumen is 1 tonne per cubic metre that 1000kg/m3 (approx) and you are saying bitumen material has density 2330 kg/m3.

Vikas Soni . dear there is alot of different b/w bituman and ashpalt. the calculation is for asphalt not for bituman. bituman is 1000kg/cu.m but asphalt is 2330 kg/cu.m i hope you are agree now
