I am always amazed by creators who can maintain a channel (and patreon!) alongside a full-time job. I work full-time (and it's not even that intense a job most of the time!) and I know I couldn't do it! The fact that my job isn't particularly intense does mean that I usually do pretty well at reading during the week though... 😀

I only have Instagram but all of my vlogs would actually look like that. It's really relatable, adult life can be harsh and I'm sometimes really sad when I'd like to consume a story from a book, but my brain won't cooperate.

So I’m doing a PhD, and because I read SO much for that, I maybe end up listening to 30 mins of an audiobook over a week. I have a Brandon Sanderson book that I started a year ago and I’m only 50 pages in and I haven’t touched it since I started it. Readers fatigue is real!

My father often takes 6 months or more to read a single book lol. He carries it with him wherever he goes but barely ever reads more than a few paragraphs at a time. He's been stuck on the 5th book of the Wheel of Time series for almost a year now and the paperback itself is practically shredded to pieces at this point

Very relatable! I work 40hrs a week and spend about 12/15hrs a week commuting on top of that.. I try to read as much as I can but its not that easy sometimes! I'm the same as you in that I sometimes struggle to even finish a book in a week 😂

I work full time and definitely find it difficult to balance that with hobbies. Currently my work is in a very writing- and editing-intensive part of the year, so it's been difficult to feel like I have the brains left over for reading even when I technically have the time.

I used to listen to my audiobooks all day long. I would listen to at least 5 audiobooks weekly, but since I've been trying to bring down the physical TBR it's been mostly physical books that I'm reading and these take me forever to get through. I don't know how long I've been reading the 2 physical books I have left, but I dnf'd the 2 or 3 last ones and just wanna get these finished (I will not dnf these 2 for sure). I don't work, so I should have plenty of time to focus on reading, but I have a cook and have to always have something planned for her to make which takes up a lot of my time. I also have to make sure it's all within my budget, which it usually isn't, and I'm running out of money to buy these recipes, so I don't know what I will do when that happens. I'm just not gonna tell her to stick something in the microwave. LOL Anyway, the plan is to spend this next Thursday to Tuesday reading my books and I'm hoping to be finished by that Tuesday night. I may stop reading for the rest of the year so I can focus on food and see if I can have a meal plan for next year so I can save more money. My mom is moving back to Montreal soon, so I know she will help a lot. She sold her house and is just waiting to be able to move back here. Might be this year, might be in January. Who knows at this point. I just hope she is willing to help me cook with the ingredients she doesn't use because I will be stuck if she doesn't wanna help me with those. LOL The 2 books I've been reading are good, but I am not very far into them. Both middle grades, as always, and I'm gonna have read 116 books by the time I finish these and it bothers me that it's not 115 or 120, so I might find 4 picture book read alouds on KZbin to get to the right number heheh I hope this week treats you kindly and since you read more on weekends, I also hope you read more than your usual amount this weekend. I work 12s Friday Saturday and Sunday so most of my reading gets done during the week. It’s not my brain that gets scrambled but my body that gets absolutely fried because I’m a carer in a senior living home.

To answer your question: I’m disabled and don’t work so I can usually smash out a book a day (the bigger more dense ones typically take two days those ones tend to be Malazan and books like that) lately though I’ve been so tired some books are taking much longer. My mum who watched with me (she loves your content too!) says she works part time and reads when she goes to bed so it takes her a while to get through books because of how tired she is.

I work Monday to Sunday with one or two days off. Aduiobooks help me to & from work & on break(s). On my days off, I get most of my reading done. If I'm able to, too. I work in a grocery store deli so my brain isn't mush at the end of the day. I'd have to track my what I read in a normal work week [ Monday to Friday]... depending on a day or three days, I'm gonna guess

I did this same challenge as a teacher/coach and ended up with 920 pages. Cheated a little because I did it on the week USA had an election, so we were off on Tuesday and I read everything lol.

I don't work and still don't get a book read in a week lol I usually have 2 books going one physical one digital, on average I read maybe 100 pages a night.
