The Bighorn is one of the best looking trucks...ever ! I used to have a 1959 Dodge Power Wagon W300 one ton. It was another great truck. Both have the same style windshield and vent window.

If it was mine, I would still be running that truck! Thats just how good the bighorn was! Don't know if I could find it now, but back in the 70s and insurance company done a durability test on most of the trucks on the market at that time. The bighorn finished 2nd only behind the dodge LCF!

For a while we (Laidlaw Carriers flatbed Michigan o/o's) would make the turn from the Scotland road, north to the big road, and see it sitting in the garage, through the windows of the door. I was always impressed that they would keep it like that.

There used to be one that was still in use in Siler City, NC, not far from me, in the early to mid 90s. Don't know what ever happened to it.

When they say *"don't make them like they used to!"* no dooobt this is what they mean #auto_car plus trucking in the 70s. *"sparks coming out the stack"* which oddly enough because of crazy emissions requirements now has actually returned but yes i left trucking for health reasons but having the urea requirement definitely encouraged that as the right thing to do. I did read listen watch and see guys getting 12 miles per hour with modifications that had nothing to do with "government stuff" which from my personal experience has only ruined some amazing engines which is a crime in my book great coverage 😊😊
