I bought Emma's book. My son wanted to make this "PoP Tart" recipe. (sigh) So we did. My Experience: It was hard to roll the dough out to the measurements specified in the book. It was very frustrating. I couldn't make 16 squares, so I had to make another batch of dough. That made more than 16 squares but at least I had enough dough. We used store bought strawberry preserves. I did pinch my tart dough together with a fork. I baked for a little longer than instructed because my tarts were bigger. The Royal Icing went well. Boy that's a lot of sugar! But once it hardened, it is just like Pop Tart icing!! At first, I said that I would never make these again! However, now that they are done and eaten, I think I might make them again. With a different filling. They certainly didn't look like Emma's pristine tart but the taste is soooo similar to the real thing. Even my 11 year old son said so. The tart dough is terrific and so is the icing. I say give it a try and take your time and read the recipe carefully before you begin.
