I used to read through those Pokémon handbooks sold for the DS games, especially the ones for Black and White. I didn't know what a horoscope was but when I read that part of the book and saw that I was a Lampent I thought that mon was so baller that it became my favorite pokemon at the time, simply because I was born in October. I need to mention you are actually wrong about Flash Fire boosting the hatch rate for eggs that ability you are getting mixed up with is Magma Armor. Flash Fire before Generation 9 boosted the chances of encountering Fire Types.

The thing about Fuecoco breaking the Fire Starter Chinese Zodiac Theory is...only half-right. Besides the fact that Cyndaquil and its evolutions aren't rodents but an echidna, a stoat, and a honey badger, according to Lockstin, Christopher Columbus mistook crocodiles for serpents. That theory was never meant to be 100% accurate in the first place, though I would've like it if we got a snake Fire-starter based off of a seraphim (if you get what I mean by that, bonus points to you)
