Your young ones will be better people, so good to see the boys doing what boys should be doing, we have 3 children well adults now, but in our younger years we were right into traveling, camping and just good healthy adventurous outings our two older kids had full exposure, the youngest one not so much, let me just say as a father and now grandfather the diffrence is noticable..

Sorry for this long comment but i got carried away. Favorite line of this episode. "Didnt scrape up too bad" especially 2nd attempt where no scrape was needed, goodonya Nick. Alenya and Nick, its awesome you are helping others with the recovery gear. Yanevano when you might need someone else to do the same for you. Nice work. I also really hope ISUZU is watching your episodes and comes to the party in some way as you really are showing how capable and versatile your SUZY is. If sales havent increased purely due to your vids then someone isnt telling the truth. Ive said it before and i will say it again, watching your family travel through various locations and how you both as parents guide, protect, teach and let your kids experience the full journey is quite simply beautiful. Thankyou for all your efforts to share your personal experiences and i have no doubt there is others right now planning to do something similar. The biggest problem now is waiting for next weeks update. All good, continue enjoying your travels. Cheers.

Well guys as usual another great episode but to be fair we always lean towards the family interaction ones that you lot seem to be so good at and of course we love the gourmet cooking segments with the lady of the house's ability to measure the ingredients so accurately, she would be a great asset to any commercial kitchen. That last camp spot was a real ball biter, we will be checking google earth for that one. The ability of the kids to thrive in what a lot parents would consider dangerous situations belies their ages. You should have named the video "find the hidden date" but we didn't even see any palm trees near "running waters".❤❤

I was at Carawine gorge in the 70’s when it wasn’t a tourist attraction, in fact nobody went there at all. We were camped there mustering cattle and used to catch catfish in the river to eat as a change to beef 7 days a week. I was there a couple of years ago and couldn’t believe how it had been trashed by travellers, so sad. At least I have the memories of what a pristine place it was when it was unknown.

If I may suggest without sounding pompous, for the cooking of a damper,...Purchase butter in the older style bricks wrapped in paper. then keep the old papers as they are used in the door of the fridges till you need to cook. Then line the bottom of the camp oven with the greasy papers this should stop the burn and help release the bread when done. I spent a lot of time surveying the Gina Reinhardt rail corridor for her mine down in Newman all the way from Port Hedland - some. of the nicest country. We covered heaps of country but never came across the gorge or that river. But if you have a drone or a decent map/GPS you can always find the rivers...the water holes are typically only a few hundred meters up or down stream. Funny story, I once got lost after a days HOT work geopicking in remote QLD - 120ks south of Duchess. After changing a flat tyre, and the sun was setting I was getting worried about getting back before night fall (company rules) and of course I was out of range radio wise and on my own for a change. But like most places outback, most Australian rivers are crossed somewhere by a bridge. So, when lost, drive into a dry creek bed and drive one way or another by dead reckoning of where you are in the landscape till you find a bridge. Then rejoin the road and head in the appropriate direction to go home. Simple. The only issue being if there are fallen trees across the river, or it gets wet and deep! LOL. As they say, when the going gets tough, the tough get going! Enjoyed another great episode guys. You are doing you children a great service. They will hate you both in coming years when they have to leave this life to do the High School Cert. Years 11-12!
