TO begin just find a good version, i would recommend a slowed down version of Subbhalaxmi Matajis version and just chant along, Do it every day and within a couple of months and you will have the whole thing memorized in no time. THen you can learn the meaning. Chanting this creates a nice atmosphere. BTW, This Vishnasahasranama is meant mainly for material benefits trhough spiritual means, unlike mantras like the Hare Krsna Maha mantra which have absolutely no material significance to them but only totally a spiritual significance.

Pranaam Pujya Swamiji. This is an excellent explaination. I have a doubt, regarding Ramayan about Sita being abondend by Shri Rama. Of lately l have been seeing videos on KZbin that in Shri Valmiki's original Ramayan this is not there and had been added later by someone else. I wanted to know which is the correct version. Can you please enlighten me on this. With due respect and humbleness l am asking this. Pranaam.

Your question is subject to correction. THE CONCIOUSNESS NEITHER SLEEPS NOR IS AWAKE ... It is beyond sensory perception.. Chanting the names is to cleanse our thoughts and surrender ultimately absorbing in the essence of the absolute conciousness.. Everything is an illusion ( maya..ignorance) What exists is conciousness all over Thou art that..in and as the Conciousness.. THOU ART THAT..( tatvam asi ) ALL ART THAT...( prjgyanam bhrama) I AM THAT...( Aham bhramasmi)

Swamiji,,,wonderful explanation..But one thing still lingers in my mind that all that acharyas when they condemn our texts to be called as Mythology....I am still not clear what makes you use this vocabulary at 2.50 mts in your speech referring as MYTHOLOGICAL CALCULATION...that contradicts the Sanatana Dharam philosophy as knowledge of The Reality...and hence they are all Cosmic Calculations or Historical but not ,Mythological...Hare Krishna
