I just read that around 8 years ago, a few years after the beef with Devlin (and the movement) Wiley said on radio that he was beaten and that Kano & Devlin are the top 2. I didn't hear it myself but someone who did wrote it in the comment section of Devlin's Wiley diss video. Soon after Wiley said that the Wiley ft Devlin ~ Bring them all/Holy Grime track was released, which i'm sure you have reacted to.

Devlin is a fantastic lyricist, definitely in my top 3 of Grime artists. I don't think most of the ones you mentioned would stand a chance against Devlin tbh, they maybe good artists in their fields but i don't think they would have that same brutal rawness and passion that Devlin has which gives him the edge, because he doesn't care or at least he didn't! he's too good. Imo the only one you mentioned who might come close is Mic Righteous. Besides i think you are right, they wouldn't go at Devlin anyway! Devlin is top tier. Great reaction, please do more Devlin and check out his albums when you can.

Wiley sent for The Movement years ago which included Ghetts, Devlin & Wretch 32 and all 3 responded with their own diss tracks for Wiley so he had all 3 coming at him. 😜 Dev was 17 at the time. Tracks are: Devlin - Extra Extra (wiley diss) Ghetts/Ghetto - North London dub (wiley diss) Wretch 32 - Metaphorically speaking (wiley diss) Out of the 3 tracks Devlin's is the most famous... and apparently Wiley admitted he got spun. But they are all cool now and have since done tracks together.

I think Devlins vocabulary is what makes him so talented. Hes constantly rhyming multi syllable words. And if you want to see him muder someone lyrically check out when he had beef with wiley in his teens. I think he was about 15 16 at the time and he absolutely bodied wiley. I think only the likes of Ghetts ( & possibly Mic) would stand a slim chance against Dev, but that would be one epic battle and probably would be fairly even with no actual winner. Ghetts wouldn't do that though as him & Devlin have too much respect for each other. I think others saw what Devlin did to Wiley years ago and thought nope! 😁😂
