As a Bulgarian-American I am a big fan of Rado, and he had a great final game but Jakob had a phenomenal setting performance in both semifinal and final and in both games Gage passing was world class. I watch lots of international volleyball and this was one of the best passing performances I have ever seen. Gabby has a powerful serve and Gage just tamed it down. With this performance, Gage has made a huge statement to go up and play professionally on the highest level.

@@locomojoboy2 Well you look at the projection of him as a lib. The ncaa has created players like erik shoji and anderson who are both exceptional passers. Kazan took anderson as an outside because of his passing and defending ability not because of his offence. through 4 he's nowhere near as good as through 2. Gabi has an international level arm. he's the real deal. Even defalco wasn't hitting in the 120kpmh range but Gabi was reaching speeds that they hit at the top level of the italian league. I know the difference between NCAA ball and international ball is ASTRONOMICAL. Hawaii wouldn't even be able to take a div 2 italian league team, but Gage's passing is the real deal. Being able to handle one server like Gabi comfortably right now it's only a matter of time before he's handling the likes of Nimir, Leon, Ngapeth and co

Except that they were biased, that guy really got excited when UCSB were coming back and so was BYU. He seemed biased against Hawaii. He played for Pepperdine I believe, which he commented about when UH won the National Championship which they won in 2002, in the conversation at 29:56 when he said "no no no, everyone knows who won!" That's a stupid asterisk" He also kept bringing up Will Stanley and his brother Jon, playing for BYU, their dad Jon, and Clay Stanley who played for the Olympic team, but not once did he mention that Clay Stanley played for UH. How can you NOT mention that when UH is competing for the National Championship but mention his two step brothers and dad? UH had to vacate it when Costas Theocharidis was ruled an ineligible player because he played against professional competition. He never had an agent, never got paid. But they claimed he was a professional for doing so. He plays against them to raise his level of play. it's like Michelle Wie who as an amateur played against pros in tournaments but yet she wasn't considered a Professional, but kept her status as an Amateur, but she needs to play against better players to improve her game. She was beating boys her age.

Watching the Bows at the Big West conference, I knew they will be the NCAA champions. Frankly, they’re just in another league. That loss to UCSD in the semifinals of Big West, it was an anomaly; and it will not be repeated. Congrats Hawai’i!
@hankakah41803 жыл бұрын
Not an anomaly. When got swept at home in 3 sets in 2020, they were using Brett Sheward as setter. The next night they lost set 1 to BYU, then they inserted Jakob Thelle into the game as setter and the UH offense was more in sync but lost the 2nd set. They then took sets 3, 4, and 5 to win the match. In both of those games Colton Cowell did not play because of injury. This game there is Jakob setting and Colton is playing.

@@noski33 Whenever a team is without one of their key players, there is always the risk that they will not play like how they normally do. Well...guess you can say that the guys got what they wanted. Since the split of the MPSF, they got a BWC regular season title, and got a BWC tournament title, and most importantly, got an NCAA championship, which was something that was oh-so close since they lost it in 2019 to LBSU, a team that has been giving them fits in recent years. What began as a strong start for UH, faced a very tough loss against UCSD in the BWC tournament, that saw some uncertainty, some concerns, especially after being ousted in the semifinal match of the conference tournament...and the NCAA gave UH a "second wind" and granted them the opportunity to participate in the NCAA tournament. Truthfully, I can't think when was the last time a team with one loss didn't make it to the NCAA tournament. The 2019 loss to LBSU in the Walter Pyramid sort of left a bad taste in the Bows' mouths, and to come back with a vengeance in the way they did it, showed that they truly deserved to win. While yes, a repeat possibly may not be likely in the cards for them, but the future for Charlie Wade's bunch looks to be bright. They get back their middles (Rosenfeld and Voss), their setter (Thelle), and their pins (Chakas, Humler and Galloway) for 2022. The only question is who becomes their libero and who's their opposite. Humler's played a few times at opposite, and then there's Mouchlias. This oughta be interesting next season for what happens next. I know Eleu's had some opportunities playing, as he's the only libero with experience. The competition at libero should be interesting to watch. Look out, 2022, the fans are coming back with a fury!

@@Tiffany-ps3cs Especially the part where they talk about UH vacating the 2002 UH NC volleyball game which Hawaii won. He says "you know who won" Yes, I watched the game, we DO KNOW who won, UH. My argument is that if Michelle Wie and other college golfers like Tiger can play in tournaments when they were amateurs at Stanford against Pros, what is the difference? Don't they play those tournaments to get better against the better competition, but they still compete as amateurs and take no prize money. He also is biased and doesn't want to mention the fact that Clay Stanley was playing for UH. All I'm gonna say is that this wasn't even with a full Hawaii squad. Humler has been out for the whole season and Galloway has MORE THAN stepped up to the plate. I think that it'll be interesting to see if Wade decides to let Humler return to opposite and start Chakas and Galloway (unless they recruit some beast from abroad) run outside. With Humler's defensive abilities that he learned from playing outside that half season it'd make hawaii probably the most defensive team in the league. Voss and Max are very capable of holding down the middle, but what I'M interested to see is who tf is gonna replace gage. I know they've got two japanese kids and the Japanese are drilled defence from the first time they get onto the court so I have no doubts they'll step up but boy, Gage is gonna be hard to replace. Won't be surprised if they give him court time for the VNL.

i think Suzumoto isn’t part of the team anymore. Choy I guess is okay but the true freshman Sharp I heard is good.

@@raianshua1724 Choy and sharp will definitely rise to the occasion but it'll be tough. Grand Canyon have a ridiculously talented young squad and they'll be the main team to watch I feel next year aside from the bows. I feel like as much as the bows relied on Rado and cowell, losing them won't be as impactful as people might think. The bows have a deep bench with very talented players and recruitment always goes well for them.

Humler hasn’t been playing in the court because he’s trash now. I’m glad they kept him off for the majority of this second half of the season.

I wonder who they will be able to recruit now, they can actually get 5 and 4 star recruits having a National Championship to show them.
