I love this video, regardless of your motivation to post! I have a 20 Liter shrimp tank in my room, and whenever I get too stressed studying I tend to watch the little critters for several minutes. There's something strangely peaceful about these separate entities, alive and unique from us, oblivious of their own surroundings, swimming in a universe we have created... sorry to get too deep on an aquarium video, but I think this strange sense of beauty and control is what makes the aquarium hobby so addictive for everyone that enters it. The sound of running water is great for sleep. I have a comfy chair in my fishroom and can fall asleep there in minutes. I like how the discus disappear for minutes at a time....like they are camera shy!

Beautiful idea. This is my favorite of your tanks, too, but the discus contribute to that. Orange! Who knew? Love them.

Discuses have no particular environment other than the tank itself. Where they are located is adaptable to your situation. Discus can adapt to almost any environment as long as that environment has consistent elements of traffic, noise and your interaction with your fish. Maintenance, Water changes and feeding are all important activities that build trust. If you are netting your fish and scaring them more than necessary, each time you approach the tank your fish will be suspect about why. If you make the experience a good one you build trust. Plan long term for your fish so that they can continue throughout their life cycle to experience the same environment and not disrupt their life experiences and patterns. This is True with all Tropical fish but some more than others. Discus fish are in that category where great care in planning a safe and stable environment yields the best results. They are not that fragile, they just need your trust. Good Luck!

I never had a large enough tank for the discus. It was enough I was able to buy some gouramis and Bala shark. One of my favorite sounds is rainfall and the filter produces a similar sound that is far more soothing than music.

Very well balanced and beautiful aquarium!! Love it! But I think you should feed your discus more. Try the Sera o Nip for example. They might love it and have something to nip on for a longer term! Peace😃

I find it hard to relate to ASMR videos. But this I can sit, listen and watch for hours. I just set up a terrarium and find my self sitting and watching that thinking I don't need the hassle if an aquarium. This has changed my mind. 2019 was for my terrarium so 2020 is for my aquarium. PS I wouldn't be mad if you did a ranchu one and I wouldn't imagine I'm alone in that.

Hey MD! This is an awesome idea. I was going to suggest that you could combine the shots you usually do in your videos (you know the pretty ones with music) as a larger mix tape style video. 1 as I guess you have the video already recorded so should be fairly easy? And 2 because they are some great shots. I know it's not everyone's taste but if this video gets a good reception maybe it might be worth a go? I'm sure the people who aren't keen on it won't mind you releasing a few now and again or videos like this for that matter. Looks great playing on repeat on my living room TV 😊
