Western Cape, South Africa. Near a small coastal town called Betty's Bay. This is in a private nature reserve, but the owners are kind enough to allow hikers access along the shore. Lovely quiet peaceful place.

Hi Emma. Thanks! Really happy you like it. It's a special place... i'm really glad I managed to capture the serene atmosphere and lovely trickles, gurgles and washing sounds so accurately. I love how the kelp comes to life with the water currents... makes it look like hundreds of odd looking sea monster babies. :) I can really imagine that this would be the ideal place for a mermaid to relax too. The seaweeds on the rocks looks quite luxurious...

Thanks, I love filming these scenes. :) Yes, it was in fact... the tide had just turned and was starting to push in. Love low tide... so many interesting things to observe in the exposed rock pools.

Ha ha, yes I must say I love doing this and it's a pleasure to be able to share my experience of the paces I love so much with others. I've found that observing nature passively and with patience like this does wonders for my stress levels. We spend far too much time rushing around and I've found that it's critical to slow down every now and then, even if it's only for a few minutes and experience something natural and pure. I started filming these scenes as a way to give myself a dose of nature whenever I had a moment and was feeling overwhelmed by anxiety. I'm so glad that I started sharing them on KZbin because I can see that they're helping a lot of other people as well. Thanks Charlie for your very nice comment as always, and God bless you too! :)

In the rock pools I bet you get some amazing anemones, I love rock pools, thanks for replying to me

Yes, there were many bright anemones in the rock pool to the left. They're amazing creatures. I love showing my daughter (7) all the creatures in the rock pools. She's not quiet enough yet (ADHD) to go with me when I'm filming these scenes but we often go on little adventures along the coast, especially at spring low tide. She has as great a love of the sea as I do, already at her age. I was telling Andy in another comment that I was watching an otter nearby while I was filming this... hardly ever see them. He was quite shy but got to watch him for a while. So cute! I really need a second camera so I can film some of the other things I observe around where I'm filming the main video. I sit really still when I'm filming so find that all the shy creatures that normally hide forget about me and go about there business.
