I just adore aspen. They are masterpieces to behold in the fall. They rather quickly take over burned areas after big fires, turning ugly moonscapes into thriving forests again. They have a myriad of medical uses too, sometimes call nature's pharmacy. And they grow to be the largest living things on Earth (when they become a colony of clone stands). Long live our aspen!
