This atmosphere makes me think about what happened with Aperture Science and Black Mesa after all of the fights. They`ve just... Disappeared from one to two, like the Borealis.

Black Mesa nuked and all the scientists and other technologies disappearres, aperture Science, however, since the facility is located in very below the ground, neither aliens nor combine could find it. (Sorry my broken English, I'm just a beginner :) )

I feel like that Aperture Science's is way too unadvanced to be 50,000 years in the future. At that point, every single thing in the facility would have rusted, decayed, broken down, and the machinery of the facility would no longer work due to the amount of decay, but in Portal 2, we see they are working perfectly fine (except for the doors).

Just listening to this now is like a dark side of a paper. When the paper is down it has a dark and white side. But you can only see what is shown, the white side, not dark. The singing in the background is nice but breaks and gets darker. Telling a story that has a happy beginning and an even darker ending...

Honestly, they probably just fell from the upper levels. With as often as the upper levels change and move around, some of them are bound to slip through the cracks sometimes.
