Last year, Amtrak celebrated its 50th Anniversary. With the 51st Anniversary occurring today on May 1, 2022, it's only fitting that we would put together an Amtrak video to celebrate! Since 1 Hour of Metra Trains seems to be doing well, let’s see if this one will be just as popular. Make sure to grab some popcorn and a nice cold beverage for this hour long presentation featuring Amtrak trains! Most of the Amtrak Trains you’ll see in the video have been previously filmed at different times. Be sure to look out for different Amtrak Special Painted Units in the video! They’re used as additional power, as well as one engine being used to pull the train, and the second one to handle all of the train’s power electrical needs. You’ll normally see Amtrak use 2 trains on long distance routes.
