I don't know about anyone else but I love the sound of the Amfleets at higher speeds. Makes them sound like they're going faster than they really are.

Love Amfleet! Originally, 3 variants of food service: Amdinette, Amcafe, and Amlounge. The shape was devised to "compete" with air travel. The campaign being "Fly by rail".

Although it sounds good, due to the noise at the moment it starts up it looks like an industrial fan. But it's great to hear that.

Love seeing the Genesis being used at higher speeds, it really looks right at home on the NEC.

They are slowly being replaced by the Chargers, though.
@Gypples Жыл бұрын
@@KaijuForceNeo It's sad to see, but it makes sense to upgrade. Luckily a bunch of commuter lines still use the P42 so it won't disappear immediately once Amtrak stops using it.

Very nice compilation. Just subscribed. Keep up the great work. Amtrak catches from the northeast are still the best! I'm originally from upstate NY, & enjoyed watching those Amtrak trains flying through those crossings once they hit their high speed.

I'm from the hudson valley and know exactly what you mean. I used to bring a speed radar to Chevoix point around the 90mph section, later this year I'll go up by Schodack where they do 110

10:24 not often you see 10003 out on the rails. I wonder how often it gets added to an Acela set

Wow a acela with 7 cars XXDD, I heard some plans about the acela with 7 cars before the Avelia liberty but were these tests for the 7 car acela?
@itsdad0c3 жыл бұрын
Every once in a while, the Acela has an inspection car coupled up to the trainset which is what lengthens it to 7 cars. From the limited knowledge I have, it doesn't seem to carry passengers.

3:05 that part scared me on 3:09/3:10 which the train just whoosh! Right past the station and on 3:14 Oh my goodness, the end part of the train has got its lights broken while going fast, for me, I have not seen a train going that fast at night without its lights on

I am a total Amtrak fan, and I only ever see the Genesis P40DCs and P42DCs and the EMD F59PHIs, so it was really cool seeing the Acelas and other engines in action. Keep the good work up! :) 🚆
