In the last 2 years, I found myself looking to end my life. My wife and I suffered a miscarriage, I injured my back, leaving me bedridden for weeks with nothing to think about but the pain, both physical and psychological. I checked myself in to the hospital when I hit rock bottom. In the hospital, Christ took my hand and pulled me out of the darkness, washing everything off of me, the pain, the anguish, the torment. The road back was not easy, it wasn't meant to be. He never left me, I was just too blind to see or feel him. I am now going to be spending my Christmas with family full of humility, gratitude, and thankfulness that Christ paid the absolute price for my sin, my impurities. Thy will, not mine, be done. Christ is King. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner. God bless you all.

God if anyone knows 5:10 i will stop what I am doing and pray for the rest of the day, and it's 1am.
There are multiple versions of Χριστός γεννάται (Christ is being born), I heard Serbian (I think), English and Arabic. The Serbian and Arabic definitely were followed by Μυστήριον ξένον (Foreign/strange mystery), all faithful translations from the original byzantine Greek troparia. Edit, so it was Romanian and not Serbian after all :) 42:30 is the same nativity katavasies in Arabic. 33:34 is the same in English.

Ah, and the last one 53:53 is the actual original Greek (Μυστήριον ξένον). It's the Lycourgos Angelopoulos choir, really beautiful. Angelopoulos was actually the one who taught the monks of Vatopedi in mount Athos.

God bless you, brother! It sounds like the Lord has given you someone to pray for. The morning prayer of Saint Philaret helps me remember this: "Teach us to treat all that comes to us throughout the day with peace of soul and with firm conviction that Your will governs all. In all our deeds and words, guide our thoughts and feelings. In unforeseen events, let us not forget that all are sent by you."" This prayer reminds me every day that even challenging people are God-sent. He wants us to pray for them, to love them through prayer and through patience, and to learn how to speak the truth in love at all times, whether in season or out of season, always being prepared. May God grant you every spiritual blessing necessary to bear this cross!

Pray for them, as we are all sinners before Christ, and always use opportunities to engage with your boss. God bless you, but please don’t get the delusional idea into your head that you can be Roman Catholic and Orthodox at the same time. It’s literally impossible, and the end result of trying to do so is the schizophrenic spirituality and ecclesiology of the Unia. A good and faithful Catholic by necessity _must_ reject Orthodox teaching and praxis. A good and faithful Orthodox must likewise reject Catholic teaching and praxis. Too many people, in their well-intentioned but unconscious pride, think they can heal the schism themselves by reaching across the aisle and singing kumbaya with both sides. It doesn’t work, it cannot work, and it actually pushes the Orthodox away from communion with Rome. The Orthodox churches have had to deal with Latin subterfuge and subversion of our faith for many centuries, and the modern heresy of ecumenism and its offspring (including the intentions you may be demonstrating) are just next in a long line of attempts to destabilize the integrity of our church. Be faithful to the tradition you’ve chosen if you believe it’s the singular deposit of faith handed down by the apostles. If you have any doubts that the Roman church is _not_ this, or are entertaining doubts that perhaps this deposit faith exists in its truest and undiluted state outside of it, then keep searching. Don’t live in the delusion of double-think and contradiction-for the truth does not and absolutely cannot operate in this way. May God grant us the wisdom and courage to pursue truth wherever it lies. ☦️

This carol describes the Birth of Jesus, with the Mother of God singing him a lullaby about his fate. She sings to him that he will grow up and go into the world, and with time, people across the entire world will believe in him. She tells him he will save the world from death, but not before He, her newly born Son, would himself die on Golgotha." - Ref.
