Same… I used to idolize that lifestyle as kid and growing up, the more that I observed… gosh, I think by 2014 I was completely turned off to the idea. I think maybe the Amanda Bynes thing happened around that time and in my head I was like, “okay… too many celebrities start out fine and end up wild. I’m good.” But the thing is, back then I never connected the dots between producer/directors proximity and these people falling apart. Modeling for local photographers here and there is fun but never EVER would I want an opportunity or my career held over my head in exchange for my body. It’s become pretty high up there on my biggest fears list so I completely feel you on all you said. Thank goodness you didn’t fall into it. A normal, peaceful, private life sounds a lot better than some of these experiences that are coming out. Surviving is hard enough!
