BLACK OCEANS means that almost the whole auditorium turned off their lightsticks, which was not the first time to be seen, some fans from some groups wanted their own idol to get the award, but the another group eventually got it, so they turned their lightsticks off, or just hating the groups about the scandals they might have.

it depends on the company actually. some idols have the freedom to choose what to wear and some idols don't. For example, the stylists will bring the clothes for fitting and then the idols can give feedbacks if they don't like it but unfortunately, not all idol groups can do that.

it depends on group (who got much freedom in choosing clothes or not). For example, Mamamoo will work with stylish themself to get what they wear base on each person's style, but group have such strong, distinct color and popularity like them are not much

It depends on the stylists, cause as for ATEEZ they do have their input and say in their clothes. I wish all groups allowed their artist's to have a say in their style/clothing choice's cause I've seen way too many uncomfortable moments and I really hope that changes. it's ridiculous.

I know this video is a few months old but I feel the biggest issue with comparing idols is that it invalidates the hard work of other and can actually come across as xenophobic and/or sexist when people throw down the entire industry (or the opposite gender of the group they stan) except for their favs. Like they insult people who listen to kpop and fall other groups flops, and yet they are listening to someone who also sings in Korean and makes similar songs to their own favs like?????? When I say similar I mean in terms of having bops, ballads, and everything between. It also doesn't help that people are OBSESSED with online polls and competitions. Most Handsome Idol, Most Beautiful Idol, Best Dancer, Best Vocalist, Best Rapper, Best This or That. Fans mass vote and start arguments with each other over who is better. Then y'all get mad at the artists who did nothing and never asked to be on that poll in the first place. Idols just breathe and people probably wanna compare who has better lung function. It's okay to just like one group and all that (to each their own music taste and comfort) but don't call other artists who also work themselves into exhaustion and also go through so many hardships daily as failures, flops, and untalented. Don't invalidate someone's work, achievements, and their influence just because they aren't your favs or just because the fandoms have an issue with one another. Kpop is supposed to be fun, but toxic fans just make it so difficult to have a good time. I can't go one day on Twitter or KZbin without seeing drama caused by a fanwar due to someone comparing just for the sake of starting drama. The point is: ALL groups have worked harder than these haters have, barely sleeping and starving themselves just to train nonstop for most of the day. Idols NEVER stop working and idk about y'all but I personally couldn't handle that much stress. I just wish people would have more respect even if they aren't fans of these groups.

The interviewer with Monsta X knew exactly what she was doing. They do these things to get an effect on camera. Also to try & cause a conflict between the groups. Also to try & get them to talk badly about the other group. This kind of BS pissed me off. The the two fandoms go after one another acting either group had control of the questions that would be ask.
