In the Korean society they’re not really allowed to curse on broadcast and most of the time idols and Kpop groups have to maintain a certain pure image which GOT7 never really bent to they always been really carefree like a regular person having dirty jokes or literally cursing/ burping or else which is pretty refreshing in Kpop lol. I actually like them because of their fire ass music but their personality really does it for me. I hate those who take themselves too seriously and aren’t natural. I feel like I could really hang out with them and crack up. Met them in real life and they’re just as nice and random lol 6:47 he said « Gyeom-donggie » ( Yugyeom-donggie which is his name) « donggie » is a way of nicknaming people. the n word in Korean is *khamm* and this paired with « donggie » form the offensive term. But when you add the name of someone and« Donggie » the donggie alone basically just mean like bro/lil bro or something in that order it’s an affective terminology/ appellation. But paired with a curse word it becomes offensive. GOT7 are actually one of the few that are pretty much educated since they’re amongst the first groups around the time they debuted that had a lot of foreign- non Korean members. So themsleves faced some racism and/ or grew up in another culture as Bam Bam is from South Asia ( Thailand ) and sadly they face a lot of racism since they’re tanned ( Korea is pretty closed and racist still tho) Jackson is Chinese but Korea and China doesn’t really have good relationships. But yet since Jackson grew up traveling going to international school he always been immersed into various cultures, same for Mark that is born and raised in the US, and Yugyeom ( the one that sings Chris brown) he one of the 100 Koreans but his family moved a lot growing up especially in the Middle East. So that paired with the fact that the Korean members grew up with the foreign ones they’re actually pretty educated on a lot of things and during lives etc where they often openly speak of various subjects you can see that they indeed know what’s happening in the world and such. 2:58 they basically started cursing forgetting they were live but since they’re multi lingual Jackson immediately said a word in Japanese that sounds exactly like the curse word they were about to say 😂 Yeah bam bam is a whole vibe he’s always aware of the trends and such ! But they’re all actually pretty random and filter free. But yeah a lot of Korean words have the same sounds even themselves sometimes misheard or mispronounce stuff lol they hear a curse word when it’s not

9:56 both Jackson and Mark are trilingual. Both speak Chinese because Jackson is Chinese and Mark from Taiwan but both languages are very similar, so they often speak in Chinese to confuse the other members especially when they’re playing games lol. They also speak English because mark is American born and raised and Jackson grew up going in an international school and always spoke English. They also had to learn Korean when they went to Korea. And here on the vid they be err asked to « argue » in 3 languages but in the midst and confusion of speaking 3 languages in one sentences the way he phrased it sounded explicit 😂
@sonia43133 жыл бұрын
The foreign members also had to learn Korean so their pronunciation/ intonation is sometimes off and sounds like curse word that’s why they’re always cracking up

깜둥이 only means the n word when directed at black people. otherwise it's a cute way of saying tan. its still not a good choice of words tho. (i only said it bcs im blasian.)
@sonia43133 жыл бұрын
The entire word means the n word no matter who it’s directed to. But here he said Gyeom ( short for Yugyeom’s name) -Donggie which is like an affective term Yugyeom-donggie is like Yugyeom-ssi Yugyeom-ie. the « donggie » alone is an affective way of calling someone. The offensive therm is actually « khamm » which paired with the diminutive donggie indeed forms the n word. Here he basically just called him cute gyeom ( cute Yugyeom) if we can translate it like that. Don’t know if I’m clear.

Okay so there inappopriate means as in idol industry you are not allowed to curse, but got7 don't give a damn. You are right, they are one of the most funny and honest groups. Some suggestion to react - • GOT7 when mom asleep (ASMR) • GOT7 when boss asleep (ASMR) • GOT7 forgtting their idol image in variety sho

gyeom-doongie isnt the n word. they both have doongie at the end which is like a cute slang that gets added to words. so it was a word play cuz yugyeom's name sounds similar to the full slang: 'Gwiyeom-Doongie' (cutie) = 'gyeom-doongie' (cute yugyeom)
