Loved the Wii because it was the only console that my family would play as a whole, I can recall playing a bowling game and baseball game with my whole family on the Wii as a kid and it was amazing, x10 better then any first person shooter on demand.

The era of the Wii... Beautiful and Magical moments of our life.
@Kadofduty2 жыл бұрын
I feel like the wii was so magical because it really let you know you were playing the wii all the time; the music had this shared energy, the motion controls were integrated in every game in a way that (usually) was fun and made sense, and there were so many ways the wii connected the user to the console, from miis, to the countless channels you could have, to the wii-brand games like wii sports, play, party, fit, music, etc. The switch is impressive but it feels cold and callous compared to the wii

This console is 17 years old! And it makes the Nintendo switch look cheap! The wii is undoubtedly the most nostalgic and best console ever in my opinion!
@link1628 Жыл бұрын
True! I remember spending so much time in the menu, because of the different channels, because of the music etc. With the Wii they created a whole universe, that we don't find with the switch.

i think the only video game soundtrack and video game that will always be apart of me will be super mario galaxy 1 and 2. its when my childhood was slowly crumbling but at the same time being full of joy. i felt safe happy and young playing that game. an orchestra, a sad yet entertaining story, and how everything was built. the creativity and visuals were stunning and how fun and wacky the characters were put a smile on my face. my older brother would play as mario as i helped him being the orange star, stunning enemies and collecting goods that he couldnt reach. the soundtrack though. thats what made me fall in love with this game. from gusty garden galaxy and birth, its emotional, its exiting, its anxiety educing, ITS PERFECT!! no matter how many versions there may be, they are all beautiful in any way and can make anyone feel sad or happy. i listen to it to feel that way i did when i was younger, happy and had no care in the world. we had a cd of the music that came with the game, and i remember always putting it into the wii and falling asleep to it. i wonder what happened to it and finally, why i fell in love with it more was its character, Rosalina. a Orphan who lost everything yet got that one thing she lost. her design made her beautiful and how much of a mother figure she was made me want to be on the comet observatory with her. her story book broke my heart so bad as a young child, to the point where tears would run down my cheeks. it was sad to not see her anymore in the second game. i loved her with my whole heart. if i could meet her in real life, i would just hug her and tell her it would all be okay someday. i could write a whole google doc of how much i love this game. but i think i wrote enough. as you could tell i love this game with my whole being. i couldnt be more happier to have it on the switch for me to play. i know i cant go back in time, as that feeling of playing it as a young child cant be the same as playing it now. but closing my eyes and falling asleep to the soundtrack will be the closest i will get to being that child again. the orange star player 2 young girl.

Subspace Emissary was such a cool game mode. It truly felt like an incredible adventure. And the theme that best fit this sense of adventure is definitely Stickerbush Symphony. Truly one of the best pieces of music ever composed for a video game.

I won't ever forget having some of my best memories in the 2010's coming home from school and playing on my Wii and DS. I wish I could go back to relive those times when life was simple and the most I had to worry about was just a simple spelling test and not breaking my newest lego set my mom helped me build. I hope the next Nintendo Console/Era can bring back the charm and magic this era had.

My college didn't allow consoles in the dorms, so I didn't experience the Wii until after college when the Wii U was brand new. It feels like a time when orchestrated music was finally possible, and it really shows right off the bat with that Gusty Garden Galaxy. Thanks for bringing back all the memories.

_I'll never forget those times when I used to play with my cousins, we used to play Smash Brawl and Mario Kart Wi... To be honest was a great time, even if Smash for Wii U was already in the martet a very long time but we dis not care in that time... Unfortunately Mario Kart Wii died, i mean the console didn't read the disc anymore so we'd had to comfort with Mario Kart Black (A MK hack... Our console was hacked)._ _And when I were alone I used to play Paper Mario, Ben 10 Vilgax Attacks, Mario Strikers, Metal Slug Anthology and of course Mario Galaxy, and i always will prefer the secuel but both games are incredible and Nintendo Wii was my childhood and i really have to give the thanks to my Uncle, he bought the console and hacked it :')_
